Data Deletion
How to stop Chatolla's access to your accounts and ask us to delete your data.
1. Remove Chatolla's access to your Meta account
You can do this yourself at any time, without contacting us:
- Business customers: in your Meta Business settings, remove the Chatolla app from your connected apps and integrations. Chatolla can then no longer use your WhatsApp Business Account.
- Facebook login: in your Facebook settings, open the list of apps and websites you have connected, remove Chatolla, and choose to delete the data it received if Facebook offers that option.
2. Ask us to delete your data
Email support@chatolla.com with the subject "Data deletion request" and tell us:
- your name and the workspace or business name;
- the email address or username you use with Chatolla;
- for a WhatsApp connection, the business phone number;
- whether you want to delete the whole workspace or only some data.
To protect your data, we confirm the request with the workspace's registered administrator before deleting anything. Please do not send passwords or access tokens.
3. What happens next
- We confirm receipt and tell you what we need to verify the request.
- Once verified, we delete the workspace's conversations, media, contacts and channel connection data, and delete the stored channel credentials, within 30 days.
- Data in backups is removed when the backups expire, within a further 35 days.
- We then confirm completion by email.
4. What we may keep
We keep records that the law requires us to keep, such as billing records, and minimal records needed to show that your request was handled. These are not used for any other purpose.
5. If you chatted with a business that uses Chatolla
That business decides how your messages are used. Please ask the business to delete your conversation first. You can also email us; we will verify the request with the business and help it carry out the deletion. See our Privacy Policy for more.
